Attendance projections have also not been made public.

Whether Mirror World will become a recurring annual event in Europe has not been confirmed. Nyege Nyege’s international expansion has developed steadily over more than a decade.

While many people associate the brand with its annual Uganda music festival, its activities now continue throughout the year.

Its artists, touring network and creative collaborations have helped extend the festival’s reach to audiences across multiple continents.

That expansion has also created more international performance opportunities for Ugandan and African artists, allowing them to showcase their work beyond the region.

The Brussels launch reflects that continued growth while remaining connected to the festival’s Ugandan roots.

The arrival of Nyege Nyege Mirror World in Belgium also highlights the increasing international visibility of Uganda’s creative sector.

As the festival expands into Europe, it continues to position Ugandan talent before new audiences through music and cultural programming.

The event’s combination of live performances, exhibitions and film screenings reflects an approach that extends beyond a conventional music festival.

Instead, it presents multiple aspects of contemporary African creativity within a single programme. For artists connected to the movement, international showcases offer additional platforms to reach audiences in different markets.

For followers of the festival, the Brussels edition signals another step in Nyege Nyege’s continued evolution beyond its original home in Uganda.

What’s Next?

The next confirmed milestone is the launch of Nyege Nyege Mirror World on September 25 and 26, 2026, at La Fabriek CityGate in Brussels.

More than 40 artists are expected to perform across three stages, alongside exhibitions, film screenings and immersive cultural experiences.

Ahead of the event, Wave One tickets remain on sale for Friday, Saturday and weekend attendance.
