The arrival of the Zuchu and Diamond Platnumz baby has brought together family, friends and some of East Africa’s biggest public figures, with Zari Hassan and her daughter Latifah “Tiffah” Dangote joining the celebrations through a heartfelt video call.
The call came shortly after Zuchu and Diamond Platnumz announced the birth of their first child together on August 2, 2026.
During the conversation, Zari and Tiffah spoke to the new parents while Zuchu rested in her hospital bed with the newborn beside her.
The exchange quickly became one of the standout moments following the celebrity couple’s announcement, highlighting the bond between the families despite their history.
Zari, who shares children with Diamond Platnumz, told Zuchu that Tiffah had been eagerly waiting for a younger sister.
“Tiffah is so excited about having a baby sister because she was tired of hanging with the boys. And I had told her I am done with this business (having more babies),”
She also shared her first impressions of the newborn, saying the baby closely resembled her father, Diamond Platnumz, whose real name is Naseeb Abdul.
“Mashallah! This baby looks like Baba T (Diamond Platnumz). The face and the lips. She also looks like Latiffah before. Everything, she looks like Tiffah. God bless her,”
Before the video call, Zuchu and Diamond had publicly revealed the birth of their daughter through emotional Instagram posts.
Diamond shared photographs taken inside the hospital showing him standing beside Zuchu as she held their baby.

“Welcome to the world, our precious little angel. You are already loved more than words can ever say!”
Zuchu, meanwhile, described the baby as her: “whole world”
The celebrations extended beyond social media and into the hospital, where the couple transformed the room into a pink-themed space to mark the occasion.
The decorations included balloons, flowers, a “Welcome Our Little Princess” banner, a large teddy bear and a jar where well-wishers could leave cash gifts.
Several visitors stopped by to congratulate the couple during their hospital stay.
Among them was fellow Wasafi artist Rayvanny, who arrived carrying eight flower bouquets along with cash gifts.
During his visit, Rayvanny joked about Diamond’s earlier request that family members should bring money instead of flowers because they had: “not given birth to bees”
The celebrations also attracted Zanzibar First Lady Mariam Mwinyi, who visited Zuchu in hospital and spent time with the new mother.

The arrival of the couple’s first child together followed an eventful period in their relationship.
Before welcoming their daughter, Zuchu and Diamond publicly announced a separation.
The couple later reconciled before hosting a baby shower and gender reveal ceremony ahead of the birth.
Those earlier events set the stage for one of the most talked-about celebrity baby announcements in East Africa.
The story has also drawn attention because it reflects the cordial relationship between Zari Hassan’s family and Diamond Platnumz following their past relationship.
For many followers, seeing Tiffah celebrate the arrival of her younger sister added a personal family moment to a story already attracting widespread interest across Tanzania entertainment news and the wider East African celebrity scene.
The family’s celebrations continued after Zuchu was discharged from hospital on August 4, 2026.
Diamond organized a luxury convoy led by a Rolls-Royce Cullinan, accompanied by Cadillac and Range Rover vehicles.
As the family left the hospital, Diamond carried the baby in a black carrier while walking beside Zuchu, who wore a white dress.
Several details surrounding the birth have not been publicly confirmed.
Likewise, no official information has been shared about the baby’s birth weight, the exact time of birth or whether additional public celebrations are planned.
For now, confirmed events end with the family’s departure from hospital following several days of celebrations attended by relatives, fellow entertainers and public figures.
The Zuchu and Diamond Platnumz baby has already become one of the biggest celebrity stories in East Africa, bringing together family, music stars and well-wishers while marking a new chapter for one of the region’s most closely followed couples.
