Nigerian Rapper Ice Prince Heads to Kampala for First-Ever Uganda Performance

Nigerian rapper Ice Prince Zamani is set to perform in Uganda for the first time at The Singleton’s The Big Meeting, scheduled to take place at Thrones in Kampala.

Known for songs including Oleku, Aboki, Shakara, VIP, Molowo and I Swear, the rapper rose to prominence in the early 2010s, when Nigerian music was reaching audiences across Africa.

The event will also be hosted by media personality Lynda Ddane, whose birthday falls on the same day.

Ice Prince emerged alongside a generation of Nigerian musicians that included 2Baba, Wizkid, Banky W and D’banj, as Nigerian pop and hip-hop expanded beyond the country’s borders.

His music became part of that era’s growing continental reach, earning him recognition among African music stars.

For Ugandan fans familiar with his catalogue, the upcoming appearance offers an opportunity to revisit songs associated with the period.

However, organisers have not confirmed which tracks will feature in his performance. Curated by whisky brand The Singleton, The Big Meeting combines music, dining and social activities.

Previous editions have featured curated DJ sets, MC-led entertainment, meals and opportunities for guests to make their own cocktails.

Ice Prince’s appearance adds a live international music act to the gathering, which brings entertainment and hospitality together.

Raymond Karama, Brand Manager for The Singleton, said the rapper’s arrival would resonate with audiences who grew up listening to his music.

“The Big Meeting has always been about bringing people together through the things they enjoy; good food, great music and memorable experiences. Having Ice Prince Zamani perform in Uganda for the first time adds another dimension to that experience, particularly for audiences who grew up with his music. For us, it is about creating moments people can connect with and remember long after the day is over. That is what The Singleton is about: savouring the moment and enjoying the experience in good company,” Karama said.

Ddane will host the gathering, with her birthday adding a personal celebration to the day’s programme.

The organisers have not announced whether additional activities will mark the occasion or whether other Ugandan and Nigerian artists will join the lineup.

The exact event date, starting time, ticket prices and booking arrangements have not been provided in the available information.

The duration of Ice Prince’s performance and the full entertainment lineup also remain unconfirmed.

The Ice Prince Uganda performance is the main attraction of the upcoming edition of The Big Meeting, bringing the Nigerian rapper’s catalogue to Kampala alongside a social experience built around music, food and cocktails.
