The long-awaited collaboration between Cindy Sanyu and Bebe Cool may still become a reality after years of unsuccessful attempts in the recording studio.
Ugandan music star Cindy Sanyu has revealed that she remains optimistic about releasing a song with Bebe Cool, insisting that the project is only a matter of time despite previous setbacks.
While many fans continue to associate her with the memorable music battle against Sheebah Karungi, Cindy says her priorities have changed.
Rather than stepping into another musical showdown, she would rather channel her energy into creating music that leaves a lasting impact.
Her latest remarks have renewed hope among fans who have spent years anticipating a collaboration between two of Uganda’s most influential artists.
Speaking about the possibility of another music battle, Cindy made it clear that she has no interest in revisiting that chapter of her career.
Although she jokingly admitted that Bebe Cool would probably be the only artist she could imagine facing in such a contest, she emphasized that working with him would be far more rewarding than competing against him.
For Cindy, making good music now takes precedence over proving herself on stage through battles. The singer believes collaboration creates a stronger legacy than rivalry.
Despite never releasing a song together, Cindy disclosed that she and Bebe Cool have already spent considerable time trying to make the collaboration happen.

According to her, the two artists have met in the recording studio four different times with the intention of creating music.
One of their earliest attempts involved Cindy’s hit song “Ndi Mukodo.” She had initially envisioned the track featuring both Bebe Cool and rapper Navio.
However, after listening to the song, Bebe Cool felt it still needed more work and chose not to be part of the project.
That decision marked the beginning of several attempts that ultimately failed to produce an official release. Cindy explained that the two musicians continued returning to the studio to explore fresh ideas.
Some of the sessions even involved professional songwriters who helped shape the songs. Despite recording multiple tracks, none of them reached the public. According to Cindy, the obstacle has never been a lack of effort or willingness to work together.
Instead, she revealed that after completing the songs, either she or Bebe Cool often felt the final version was not strong enough for release.
Rather than putting out music they were not fully convinced about, they agreed to shelve the projects and continue searching for the perfect record.
Although fans may wonder whether repeated disappointments created tension between the two artists, Cindy says the opposite is true.
She described her relationship with Bebe Cool as one built on mutual respect and professional admiration.
“I’m sure our collaboration is coming.”
“One day we shall sit on a beat, both agree on it and release it.”
“He gives me a lot of respect, and I do too.”
Those comments suggest that both artists remain committed to working together whenever they find a song that satisfies them creatively.
For many years, supporters of both artists have hoped to see them combine their talents on one record.
Considering the influence each musician has had on Uganda’s music industry, a collaboration has long been viewed as one of the country’s most anticipated unreleased projects.
Cindy’s latest comments provide insight into why that collaboration has never materialized. Instead of rushing to satisfy public demand, both artists appear determined to maintain high creative standards.
Their approach reflects a belief that quality should always come before speed. Rather than releasing a song simply because fans expect it, they would rather wait until they are completely satisfied with the final product.
A collaboration between Cindy and Bebe Cool has been discussed for years because both artists have remained among Uganda’s most influential musicians. Despite working in different musical styles, fans have consistently expressed interest in hearing them record together, making the project one of the most anticipated collaborations in local entertainment.
